“Today, to keep me from "getting fatter", my roommate raided the kitchen. She ate everything from cookies and ice cream to deli meat. The only thing left in the house are vegetables. FML" -America.”—Fmylife.com
I’m up and can’t sleep because all I can think about is eating something. And being hungry at this time isn’t helping. This fast is getting harder in the final stretch of my first 30 days…I’ll see how I feel tomorrow. I might eat something like a salad or some baby carrots and still continue juicing. This process has taught me a lot about how proper nutrition affects how I feel physically, emotionally, and mentally. Juicing is permanently apart of my way of living, I’m proud of that.
Either way if I do decide to eat a little something, I will continue on with my fast. There are no rules to this except for listen to yourself and treat yourself well. I’m grateful for this experience, and like all experiences this one will continue. I’ll post an update on what I decide tomorrow.
I didn’t get a chance to take a pic…to be honest I didn’t want to. But I do want to share that celery, carrots, and tomatoes taste great. Another savory juice. The celery and tomatoes are what make it that way. I dig it.
So the last two days I’ve been in the studio being the most productive than I’ve been in a while. I say this because I had these hang ups about my career, and music as a whole. This has been stifling me for years, and out of no where two days ago I get the urge to record something I’ve had written for a minute. It felt good. I hope this lasts. I like it.
Being on this fast as been a learning process like no other. I really do feel that before this fast I’ve been riding the back seat in my own life. I’m so grateful for the people around me who support me and understand why I’m doing this. I feel like all of these years “acquiring the right people” in my life was all for this moment. I love y’all. Thank you.
So after speaking with my lady she informed me that in her experience and research from doing the master cleanse that days 4-8 are when you’re body is expelling toxins the most. And drinking carrot juice did in fact help me to feel much better. Word up, I’ll be posting up a recipe for one of my favorite juices. Stay tuned. Peace.
I just woke up from a nap. A nap that I took because shortly after having a high antioxidant (beets, carrots, collard greens, and ginger juice), I began to feel nauseous and lightheaded. It was mild so I wasn’t too worried about it…but still it had me a little concerned. So I came across some info that said if you feel nauseous that could be a fast release of toxins overloading your liver which secretes bile into your stomach causing nausea. I’m hoping that what it was because I felt this way slight before when drinking a beet based juice. Beets are high in antioxidants. It mentioned drinking water or carrot juice to dilute the toxins in my stomach to calm the nausea. Still research…..
